SoftWave Therapy in Denver, CO
A non-invasive, device-based treatment that may be considered as part of an individualized plan for selected musculoskeletal concerns.
ABOUT THIS SERVICE
SoftWave Therapy
SoftWave therapy uses acoustic-wave technology applied to a targeted area of the body. At Parker Point Medical Center, it may be considered for selected musculoskeletal concerns after an evaluation of your symptoms, health history, and treatment goals.
This service is not a replacement for a proper diagnosis or every other form of care. Your clinician will explain why it may or may not be appropriate, what the session involves, and how it fits with rehabilitation or medical follow-up.
What to expect
The clinician identifies the treatment area and applies the handheld device to the skin using a coupling gel. Sensation and session length vary. Some patients may also receive exercise, activity guidance, or other treatment as part of a broader plan.
Is it right for you?
Suitability depends on the condition, treatment area, medical history, medications, implanted devices, and other safety considerations. Outcomes vary, and no result can be guaranteed. Tell the clinician if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medication, have a bleeding disorder, active infection, cancer in the treatment area, or another significant health condition.
